Research Interest
  • My research interests in:
  • Bacteriophages: Isolation and molecular characterization of bacteriophages, evaluation of their therapeutic potential as alternatives to antibiotics against antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, and investigation of phage–bacteria interaction dynamics.
  • Human Pathogenic Viruses: Study of the molecular epidemiology of hepatitis B and C viruses (HBV and HCV), their transmission dynamics, and host immune responses, with particular emphasis on vulnerable populations such as children and women.
  • Emerging and Re-emerging Viruses: Investigation of SARS-CoV-2 and its epidemiological and clinical implications, within an interdisciplinary framework integrating molecular virology, immunology, and epidemiology.
  • Overall Objective: To bridge fundamental virological research with practical applications in the control of infectious diseases and the improvement of public health policies.
