Research Interest
  • My research interests cover a wide range of musculoskeletal topics, including foot deformities, the effect of limb dominance on joint performance, osteoarthritis (OA) classification, gait analysis, musculoskeletal modelling, deep learning, and muscle force estimation. I have also worked on microwave diathermy for knee therapy and on testing and modelling composite materials for partial foot prostheses.

  • -Co-supervised a project, at Cardiff University, related to muscle activation for patients with Osteoarthritis.
  • - An undergraduate project, carried out by a student at Al-Nahrain University, was undertaken as a part of the collaboration between Al-Nahrain Unversity and Cardiff University to develop research into disease and treatment including surgery and rehabilitation monitoring.
  • Collaboration with Cardiff University (2021/2022):
  • -Co-supervised a project, at Cardiff University, entitled "The impact of knee varus angle on muscle coordination in patients with medial knee osteoarthritis".
